Precautions
*Standard Precautions should be observed for all residents at all times.
Body Fluids Which Standard Precautions Apply:
Standard Precautions apply to blood and to other body fluids, including (but not limited to): urine, cerebrospinal fluid (CFS), synovial fluid, pleural fluid, peritoneal fluid, pericardial fluid and amniotic fluid, regardless of whether or not they contain visible blood. The precautions apply to all tissues, secretions, and excretions (except sweat) including: feces, saliva, nasal secretions, sputum, vomits, semen and vaginal secretions.
